How to Replace a Bridge Rectifier
Note: Replacement should be performed by qualified personnel. Disconnect ALL POWER from unit prior to replacing rectifier.
Step 1: Disconnect AC power from unit.
Step 2: Take photo of unit for record of wire placement.
Step 3: Remove Hex bolt from rectifier and lift rectifier to access terminals.
Step 4: IMPORTANT: NOTE THE ONE BEVELED CORNER OF THE RECTIFIER. One at a time, move the terminal connectors from the old rectifier to the new one with placement in the same position with relation to the beveled corner. Apply any excess white compound from the old rectifier to the bottom of the new one; this helps with heat conduction.
Step 5: Press the new rectifier firmly in place against the metal plate and bolt in place with the hex bolt.
